BARAKO COFFEE FOR A BARAKO ME.

So after 123456789 years, me and my friends finally found time to meet and hang out. It was supposedly last December since we have our Kris Kringle for Christmas but working girls are we, it has been so hard for us to squeeze in a reunion due to our busy schedule.

The next struggle was deciding where will we meet and dine in Tanauan, Batangas. Since we have no time and some roads are closed due to an event, we settled for a place nearby and we definitely had a good time. Thank you, Barikafé!

All in one. Coffee, music, arts, name it!

THE PLACE:

The interior of the place is very artistic, I must say. Upon entering the coffee shop, some sort of a stage with musical instruments will greet you. When we arrived, there were guys playing some music.

There were a lot of paintings hanged on the wall, including some other art pieces. My friend (who is a regular customer of the place) told me that they are changing the pieces from time to time. Last month, I believe there were photographs.

There are also books for rent so if you're ideal day is like mine, coffee, good book and a relaxing environment, then this is
the perfect place for you.

THE FOOD:

The offer hot drinks, iced coffee drinks, frapuccino, cakes, sandwiches, burgers, pasta and other snacks. If you wanna try something healthy, they also have smoothies.

So I asked the owner to know what's their bestseller and she suggested White Mocha and so I tried it. We also ordered pica pica platter, burger and we couldn't have enough so we had extra orders of potato fries. I enjoyed their food especially my drink. I guess my friends had the same experience as well.

MUST TRY:

Their tuna pasts is a must try according to my friend.

PLUS:

The owner was very accommodating, she was so nice that she even took us a picture. Another interesting with this cafe is that the art does not end the way I imagined, even inside their comfort room, there's still some artsy stuff.

UNLIMITED (?)

What really caught my attention was their Unlimited Pancakes promo since I just love buffet. For P150, you can eat pancakes until you satisfy your stomach. So I invited my room mates for a breakfast at Daily Brew.

THE PLACE:

The place was simple. There are a lot of frames hanging on the wall near the entrance of the coffee shop. On the display, I believe there are only two cakes available. And they do not appear appetizing to me.

There is sort of a shop inside as well. They sell clothes, planner and other cute items.

The second floor of the place is nicer. It looks vintage to me with the books, tables and chairs.

THE FOOD:

They actually have an interesting menu since they offer a lot of DIY's.

But since we're after the unlimited pancakes, each of us availed one which we all regret afterwards.

The service was not really commendable at all since we waited for like half an hour for our pancakes to be served. And when it was placed on our table, we were really disappointed because there are only two tiny pancakes on our plate, with a very small slice of butter plus three drops of syrup. The taste was also not satisfying. With just a blink of an eye, I can finish eating those mini pancakes. And you'll wait again for minutes just to have another serving.

We had another round of pancakes just to give justice to our money. And for the next serving, the pancakes were served without any butter or syrup. We even ordered additional topping like bacon just to compromise. But it still did not make it a happy food.

So we were already disappointed with what we had for breakfast. Thinking that our P150 was just put into waste. We could have 3 orders of pancakes at McDonalds or 9 orders in total.

My roomies said that they will never go back to the place. But I will- to give them another chance. I will visit the place again one of these days and try their other offers.

Hopefully, it will be worth it next time.
